Lulu Group to distribute Ramadan shopping cards to needy Emiratis

Dubai: Ibrahim Boumelha, Vice Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, and Yusuff Ali M.A. signed an MOU to distribute Dhs. 3 million worth of shopping cards to needy Emiratis during the forthcoming Ramadan. As per the MOU, Lulu will issue shopping cards in different denominations to the foundation and they will distribute these to needy people who can shop from any Lulu hypermarkets in the UAE. This is the 7th time that the joint initiative is being carried out. After signing the MOU, Mr. Yusuff Ali said, "It is an honour for us to be a part of such a noble cause and we thank HH Sheikh Mohammed for his vision to bring happiness in the lives of the lesser privileged, during the holy month of Ramadan." Ibrahim Boumelha said, "More than 5000 families will benefit from this project and it is of great importance to the Foundation as it cooperates with its partners in charity within the UAE for the distribution of the smart cards. A set number of cards have been allocated to families in each Emirate."
