Lulu Hypermarket honoured by Royal Charity Organization for CSR partnership

Manama: Lulu Hypermarket has been awarded by the Royal Charity Organization for its support of the RCO and its partnering of the RCO as a CSR commitment to the community. The award was presented by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Mr. Juzer Rupawala, Regional Director - Lulu Hypermarket. Present at the ceremony was the RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed. Every year since 2013, Lulu Hypermarket has been working closely with the RCO to take forward the educational goals set for the orphans under its care, with dedicated summer camps in its premises. These camps, sponsored by Lulu, combine the highest level of edutainment – knowledge and character-building through carefully structured games and interactive sessions. This year too, the Summer Camp will run from 4 to 21 August 2014 at Lulu Hypermarket’s Hidd premises. Lulu Hypermarket also helped youth in the care of RCO to develop work skills with their company. Last year, Lulu Hypermarket spearheaded the ‘Food for All’ programme under the patronage of the RCO and collected dry rations through a donation drive in its outlets and later distributed the food to needy sections of the community.
